To assure the comfort and safety of all our guests and maintain our level of excellence, we have established policies we would like to share with you at this time. Adherence to these policies is important as all guests depend upon them when choosing their accommodations. Some of our policies are quite different from a typical hotel. We ask you take a moment to read over these policies so that you can make an informed decision about whether The Willows will be as good a match for you as it is for our guests who travel to stay with us from all over the globe. There are uncertainties relating to the spread and effect of COVID-19. The Willows intends to implement procedures it determines to be appropriate and in compliance with applicable laws in conjunction with our operation. However, all guests must accept the risk of the possibility of contracting COVID-19 while staying at The Willows, accept responsibility for their own safety and actions while staying at The Willows, and accept that because The Willows is open for use by other guests and staff, there is a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 than if fully self-isolating. Guests must agree to follow all Covid-19 safety protocols put in place by the State of California, County of Riverside, City of Palm Springs, and The Willows at the time of stay, including but not limited to wearing a facial covering/mask and observing physical distancing guidelines, understanding that protocols are subject to change. 

All room rates at the Willows Historic Palm Springs Inn reflect single or double occupancy only and are subject to applicable taxes. Rate includes daily gourmet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, afternoon wine and hors d’ oeuvres and evening turn-down service. All of the rooms at The Willows have one bed and are designed to accommodate one or two guests only, regardless of age. There are no facilities or amenities that would be appropriate for children infants, groups, weddings, or events. We are a closed compound, with all rooms, grounds, pool, food, and services reserved for the enjoyment and use of registered guests only; no unauthorized parties, gatherings or outside visitors, please. This ensures the privacy and enjoyment of our registered guests.

Because The Willows has a limited number of rooms, reservations require full payment in advance to be confirmed. Rates and availability are subject to change. All rates are per night, based on single or double occupancy. Rates are not guaranteed until the reservation is complete. Weekends and holidays are subject to minimum stay requirements. Reservations are non-refundable 21 days prior to arrival.

Confirmed reservations require payment in advance as we have a limited number of rooms and do not overbook as many large properties do. Payment is refundable if cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to scheduled arrival.  All refunds on credit card payments will be provided as a credit to the credit card used at the time of payment. The Willows is a small, family-owned boutique hotel. No-shows and cancellations have a major effect. Therefore, our cancellation policies must be strictly enforced. It is impossible to verify “hardship” cancellations. Therefore, all cancellations are treated the same, regardless of the reason given. If you are concerned about the possibility of incurring processing or cancellation fees, we would strongly advise that you wait to book your room until you are quite sure you can travel or purchase travel insurance. Cancellation within 21 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of all payments. Online travel agency reservations are non-refundable.

A visit to The Willows is like a visit to a friend’s historic mansion. Please ring at the pedestrian gate to be escorted to your room by an innkeeper, or call on your cell phone so an innkeeper can meet you at your car and direct you to parking and then your room. Check-in time is 4pm. Kindly alert us to your check-in time. A staff member is on property and available to assist you 24 hours a day. Check-out time is noon. Please understand that housekeeping is readying rooms for the next arriving guests, so prompt check-out is appreciated. Please make your plans accordingly.

The Willows is a small, intimate boutique hotel catering to adult couples and individuals who are seeking a romantic and tranquil escape from big-box hotels and boisterous family resorts. Further, the Willows is an historic mansion with delicate appointments. There are many family-friendly accommodations in Palm Springs. In accordance with California law, where an adult seeks accommodation along with one or more minor children, we require the adult to agree in writing not to leave any minor 17 years of age or younger unattended at any time during their stay and to control the minor’s behavior during their stay so as to preserve the peace and quiet expected by our other guests and to prevent inconvenience or injury to any person, or damage to property. (Civil Code Section 1865(d).) Refusal to sign this agreement is grounds for refusing accommodations, and any failure to otherwise comply with this policy will result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.

The Willows is an historic property and has limited handicap accessibility. Please speak with an innkeeper to discuss your specific needs and every attempt will be made to accommodate you. The Garden Room is accessible.

The Willows and its surrounding grounds and gardens are completely smoke-free. For the comfort and well-being of all our guests, The Willows does not permit smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. Violators will incur a $300 cleaning fee, so please do not smoke or vape in rooms, on patios, in the parking area, or anywhere on the grounds. In order to reduce fire hazard, no candles or open flames are permitted.

The Willows is a historic home with delicate appointments and furnishings and is not appropriate for pets or emotional support animals. Bona fide service animals will be accommodated. A $300 cleaning fee will be charged to any guest bringing an animal to their room.
